I did the thing.
I am happy to bring you my very first coffee roast, my signature cup:
Wheelbarrow by Morris Coffee Co!
I previously thought this project impossible, but after some research I realized I could not only do this but do it WELL. I'm extremely proud of the results and I look forward to this coffee bringing joy to you and your guests.
Alright lets get to the particulars for the particular:
I order these Fair Trade certified beans on the internet from an Ethiopian farmer named Bedhatu Jibicho. From what I can gather, she's the the matriarch of a farming family and collective. She's like 80 years old, so her younger relatives have pitched in to help her establish a company around her crop. Her raw beans then travel to America via an African farming co-op and I purchase the finest selection of those beans and roast them at my home.
I do the roasting in my garage, where I allow the beans to cool and de-gas in my wheelbarrow, which gives this blend its name!
It's got a medium roast with very fruity almost jammy aspects with a chocolate note towards the bottom. I enjoy this roast with cookies in the morning, most of the time.
Please consider adding this bit of Morris to your morning routine :)
