Live Album features live performances by the American soul band Maal & Morris, recorded in between August and October 2021 during their live residency, which spanned across 3 dates that fall. The album was eventually released in 2022 in two different versions, comprising a total of 12 new songs by Maal & Morris. This Bandcamp version features 6 additional recordings, mined from the rehearsal leading up to their 3 day run.

The performances were recorded on a home tape machine using a single microphone, resulting in a low fidelity recording. The tapes were eventually subjected to extensive audio processing to improve the sound, leading to the 2022 version you hear today.
